How is the readiness score calculated?

It's based on five dimensions grounded in published research: time adequacy (AccessLex data on study hours and pass rates), study method quality, subject coverage weighted by the NextGen exam structure, resource alignment with the new format, and format readiness. This score is an informational estimate and does not predict your performance on any bar exam.

What changed with the NextGen bar exam?

The NextGen UBE replaces the traditional bar exam with a skills-based, fully digital format. It uses integrated question sets and performance tasks instead of standalone multiple choice and essays. The first administration is July 2026, with states adopting on a rolling basis through 2028.
